John Garrett – Angler

John Garrett, a college student at Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, can be described simply as a man driven by his passion to succeed. John walked away with the most coveted prize in the sport of collegiate bass fishing in 2016, winning the title of Bassmaster College Classic Bracket Series Champion. He was the first angler in Tennessee state history to take home the title at age 20. In addition to the Classic berth, John earned free entry into all nine of the B.A.S.S. Opens in 2017. John continues to be ranked #1 or #2 in the nation as a collegiate fisherman. John has been described by his coach, Garry Mason, as “a great angler, a great young man, and a leader.”
